DC|Engineering web conveyors are built with a belt made of rubber coated hard steel bars that are separated by a 40mm (or more) pitch. This web belt allows debris or water to fall through, separating them from the main produce flow. These conveyors suit harsh operating conditions, and are often used where the produce is wet or has a high level of dirt and clods in the early stage of processing.
They are also a good alternative when produce needs to be sprayed before and de-watered before further handling. For elevated conveying, web cleats are fitted to retain produce on the belt. The type of cleats depends on factors such as the size, type and volume of produce and angle of the elevator.
